Welcome to the weekly update (November 12, 2017) on BTH Reviews!
This is our chance to talk about things going on in our lives, share new books we’ve received, and recap the previous week’s posts. I link this post up to two popular book blogger memes: The Sunday Post and Stacking the Shelves.
The Sunday Post is a meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It’s a chance for book bloggers to share news, give updates, and recap the previous week.
Stacking the Shelves is hosted by Tynga’s Reviews. It’s a weekly meme to share your new books.
Weekly Update November 12, 2017
What’s Been Going On…
I’ve been working, despite being sick. I finally made it to the doctor yesterday. I have a middle ear infection. But at least I have antibiotics now to get better.
It’s been hard for me lately to get motivated on Sundays to write the updates. I’ve been focused on laundry and other stuff around the house. And I didn’t post much this week because I was sick. But I’m trying to do better.
Weird Places Cats Sleep
Sorry I don’t have a picture for you this week. My portable hard drive, where those are all saved, is currently missing. Hopefully, I will find it before next week’s post. Instead, I’ll give you another animal picture for a dose of cuteness. This is Maeve, my daughter’s puppy. She’s bigger now, but she’s still pretty small. She’s a mini pitbull, Jack Russell Terrrier, and Chihuahua mix. I think she’s about five months old now. She was probably only about two months old in this picture.
Stacking the Shelves
Along with the other things I’ve fallen behind on, I haven’t been keeping track of my new books. The only one I can think of right now that I got in the last week is BABY, I’M HOWLING FOR YOU by Christine Warren. I got it through Netgalley via an invite from the publisher. It sounds really good. My only concern is that sometimes authors take away the characters’ free will when mates are part of the theme. I’m hoping that won’t be the case in this book.
Blurb: WELCOME TO ALPHAVILLE, where the she-wolves and alpha-males play. . .for keeps.
Renny Landry is a wolf on the run. Pursued by a shapeshifting stalker and his slobbering pack of killer coyotes, she is forced to flee her job as a librarian to find sanctuary in the wooded hills of Alpha, Washington. A well-secluded safe space for troubled shifters, Alpha is Renny’s last hope. But the first person she meets there is a gorgeous alpha male with fiery eyes, fierce tattoos, and one ferocious appetite—for her…
Mick Fischer thought he left his past behind when he moved to Alpha. But fate has a way of biting him in the tail when a female wolf shows up on his property. Wounded, desperate—and disarmingly hot—Renny brings out the snarling, protective alpha beast in Mick like no other woman he’s known. Can these two haunted, hunted wolves manage to mate for life…even as the deadliest past demons howl at their heels?
What I Posted Since the Last Update…
Well, actually just since the first of the month. I don’t want to put so much here, considering it’s been a few weeks since the last update.

I added more excerpts to some of the excerpt pages.
To make it easier to see what I have to do, I’m updating my Goodreads with new shelves. This will take a while to go through all the books I have on there, plus the ones I haven’t added, but it’ll be good when it’s done.
Plans for the Upcoming Week…
Monday, I’m reviewing Hunger Moon by Alexandra Sokoloff. There’ll probably be an excerpt from the book too.
On Tuesday, we’ll have an excerpt from Deadly Premonitions by Kennedy Layne.
Friday, Ash Fitzsimmons, author of Stranger Magics, will be interviewed.
I’m going to get some other posts up, too. I’m just not sure what and when, so I don’t want to over-commit.
That’s all for the Weekly Update November 12, 2017
