Welcome to the weekly update (March 25, 2018) on BTH Reviews!
This is our chance to talk about things going on in our lives, share new books we’ve received, and recap the previous week’s posts. I link this post up to two popular book blogger memes: The Sunday Post and Stacking the Shelves.
The Sunday Post is a meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It’s a chance for book bloggers to share news, give updates, and recap the previous week.
Stacking the Shelves is hosted by Tynga’s Reviews. It’s a weekly meme to share your new books.
Weekly Update March 25, 2018
What’s Been Going On…
I haven’t written an update since November. Although I could give you a ton of excuses, it just boils down to lack of motivation to take the time to do it, when there have been so many other things going on in my life. Usually, by the time I get a chance to work on the blog, I’m just too emotionally or physically drained to put much effort into it. That’s not a good reason, and I’m going to try to get back on track.
I’m currently reading three books:
I’ve read about 80% of The Silent Corner. Hopefully, I’ll finish that one soon. I’ve only made it about a fourth of the way through the other two books.
Honestly, I put them on hold for a long time, and I’m trying to go back to finish them. It’s not because they are inferior in any way; I just haven’t been reading as much lately.
Stacking the Shelves
I didn’t get any new books this week. Misty told me she got a few from the library, but I don’t remember off-hand the titles. So, this week, I’m not going to link up to Stacking the Shelves. Maybe I’ll have something to report next week.
What I Posted…
We went a long time without any posts on the blog. Like I said, I’m trying to get back on track. This week, I posted a review for This Monstrous Thing by Mackenzi Lee and a review for Grave Witch by Kalayna Price.
Plans for the Upcoming Week…
Because I don’t have to go into work today until 8 PM (I work from 8-7, then have to go back in from 1-8:30), I’m working today on scheduling posts for the upcoming week. I’ve already made one post that has three fantasy excerpts, which are reposts from the old blog. My goal is to have at least one post scheduled for each day.
I hope that at least three of those will be new content, rather than reposts from Books That Hook. Although I want to get all those old posts and reviews eventually moved over to this website, I also want to balance that with new material.
One thing in particular I want to do is restart the discussion feature that we used to do when we were on the old website. These used to always run on Tuesdays, so I’ll probably keep that schedule.
That’s all for the Weekly Update March 25, 2018
