Weekly Update August 13, 2017

Note: Some of you know us (Jen and Misty) from our old blog: Books That Hook. After dealing with a series of unfortunate events that made blogging impossible, we have returned on a new website. We are still technically Books That Hook, but we couldn’t get that URL back without paying a small fortune, so we are now BTH Reviews. If you were an email subscriber on the old website, please take a moment to sign up again. Everything else–Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Linked In, etc.–haven’t changed.

Our weekly update today is going to be pretty short. We haven’t posted much yet on the new blog.

I’ve been working on setting up pages for excerpts and new releases. This is going to take me a while. Plus, I’m working on posting reviews that used to be on the old blog. I’ve only done a few of these so far.

The only new review (never posted on the other website) is for Hellforged by Nancy Holzner. I have lots of other reviews I haven’t written yet, and I’ll be posting those in between restoring everything else.

In my life outside blogging, things are about the same: sucky. Just working, cleaning house, and dealing with problems that keep cropping up. This week’s streak of bad luck included the check engine light in my truck coming on, the back and home buttons breaking on my phone, and a foreclosure notice from our second mortgage company. Hopefully, this bad luck streak will end soon. On a brighter note, my dog who was sick for a very long time and lost all her hair, almost looks like her old self again, and she actually played with one of the other dogs today. So, at least something good has happened 🙂

That’s it for this weekly update for August 13, 2017.

If you have any suggestions about things you’d like to see on the new blog, we’d love to hear from you.

Have a great week!

  1. When it rains it pours doesn’t it. I hope the dark cloud overhead clears up soon and you begin a series of lucky and wonderful things! Having been married for 30 years and raising three kids, all I can offer is this too shall pass.

  2. That’s too bad about your week 🙁 but I’m glad the doggy’s better!
